is a list of those extensions.

article #252, updated 3782 days ago

If you find that you have Quickbooks files getting marked read-only in inexplicable fashion when they are being served on a network, try this:

You probably need the latest version of the server piece of QuickBooks running on the server.

Manual registration of QuickBooks
article #587, updated 3782 days ago

If QuickBooks fails altogether to register, or if it “stops” while trying to register online, try this:

  1. Open the QuickBooks application
  2. Help menu; then “About QuickBooks: Premier Nonprofit Edition 2010…”
  3. The About screen comes up. Hold down Ctrl, press R and then P
  4. A special screen comes up for manual registration. Call the phone number visible, they will give you a code.

Fix .NET corruption -- fix QuickBooks 8 failure to load
article #28, updated 3782 days ago

.NET frameworks can become corrupted. This page:

http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2005/04/08/406671.aspx

provides a tool which, even if the framework cannot be uninstalled, will remove all .NET frameworks and registry entries, and most thoroughly.

This is the solution to a problem with the newest QuickBooks, which is very .NET-dependent. The symptom is that it appears to start, and then stops, without error messages at all. In this case, remove .NET frameworks entirely using uninstall or the above tool, and then redownload and reinstall the .NET frameworks.
